10 year old musical sensation, Ethan Bortnick, was honored for his philanthropic work, by the Chabad of South Broward, Florida.
Ethan continues to spread music, laughter, hope and the message of how important it is to support Chabad, all through his uniquely entertaining and fun shows. From Florida to California, from Brazil to Australia, Ethan has performed at over 50 Chabad Galas, Concerts and events, and many more planned for 2011.
From Sold out concerts to intimate dinner Galas, he inspires people to support and contribute generously to the wonderful Chabad organizations and to its initiatives: Jewish Day Schools, Day care centers, Mikvahs, Friendship circles, and many more.
At his Chabad concerts, he reminds supporters and guests why Chabad is so important to the community and opens hearts to appreciate the greatness of the organization. Thus, raising record amounts of money. As Oprah recently stated "He has helped raise nearly $30 million by performing at dozens of charity benefits."
This includes millions of dollars raised for Chabad around the world.
So here is what else Ethan has been up to lately:
1. He just completed a 20 + City tour across the country, where he made history as the youngest musician, composer, and entertainer to ever headline a national concert tour. His concert captivated, inspired and entertained both kids and adults, who were treated to a once in a lifetime experience. He brought Classical Music, Disco, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Kids music and much more, all while interacting with the audience making everyone laugh and have a magical time.
2. Ethan is the youngest musician ever to have his own Nationally televised PBS Concert special, which aired over 700 times across the nation, so far.
3. Recorded music in LA with over 70 of the world's biggest stars and legends, such as Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Tony Bennet, Lionel Richie, Josh Groban, The Jonas Brothers and many more.
4. Just appeared on Oprah's final season, where she picked Ethan as one of her favorite Most Talented Kids In The World.
5. Released his 2nd DVD and CD worldwide.
